TV Channel Five to launch own Blackjack Online and casino sites
TV channel Five has signed a deal with Party Gaming to create its own bingo and casino websites. The Five Bingo and Casino sites will launch in the second half of 2009 and will target the UK market. Party Gaming will run the betting and gaming side of the operation while Five will be responsible for marketing the website. Commenting on todays announcement, Jim Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of PartyGaming, said: With more than 30 million viewers each week and a household entertainment brand, Five is an important addition to our expanding business-to-business portfolio. We are confident of securing more B2B deals in the coming months as we match our eGaming talents and assets with the consumer reach of other companies around the world. Dawn Airey, Chair and Chief Executive of Five, said: Five is looking aggressively at how to expand its presence in digital media, both in terms of its core broadcast content as well as allied offerings that reflect the channels unique sense of dynamism and fun. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with PartyGaming, whose job it will be to create for Fives audience the very best gaming experience. It will be interesting to see how successful the deal is; Party Gamings tie up with ITV recently finished and ITV is reported to be looking for a new strategic partner. Party Gaming is widely thought to have struggled with Wink Bingo since they launched one of the first online bingo sites, Party Bingo, nearly four years ago.
